Doors open at 6:00 PM for Ray of Hope's 11th Annual Dinner — featuring the Bartoloni's hand crafted sourdough pizza buffet, oven-blazed wings, and an evening centered on the children and families with disabilities that this program exists to serve.

In Joyabaj, Guatemala, more than 90 children with disabilities are part of our Ray of Hope family. Their needs are often complex. For some, the right care can ease pain, support mobility, or help a child gain a hard-won ability — gripping food, standing with help, or taking one more step toward daily comfort and care.

But some of the most important needs are harder to see.

For a child who cannot speak, pain, hunger, fear, or frustration can go unnoticed or misunderstood. A parent may know their child is trying to communicate, but not know how to understand what they are saying. With the right support, that can begin to change.

This year, Ray of Hope is working toward a significant step forward: adding a full-time social worker and speech therapist to our team. They're the people who can visit homes, build relationships, and notice what families sometimes can't see themselves — a child in pain without a name for it, a family stretched past what they can carry alone.

You'll hear directly from our program director — now twelve years into this work — about what this year has held, what is ahead, and why this next season matters.

You are invited to the table.
